Do you still manufacture mattresses?
No, we produced our last retail mattress in 2005. We have shifted solely into the medical cushion field.
Who can purchase pads from you?
We cater to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) who produce the tables and/or fixtures that our pads will go on.
Does Berman Bedding, Inc. make 'custom' pads?
No, we do not make "custom" pads. Due to FDA regulations, custom medical devices must be prescribed by a doctor. We will make prototypes for pads that will be ordered in bulk, but not "one-off" custom pads.
What cleaning/disinfection methods can be used on our products?
CLEANING OF SOILS & STAINS
Wash with a generous application of neutral soap suds and lukewarm water. Rinse with water and dry. Do not immerse.
or
Use a diluted bleach solution of 10-parts water to 1-part bleach. Wipe dry with a clean cloth. Do not immerse. Bleach MUST be diluted to the 10:1 ratio.
All chemicals/solutions MUST be diluted to the manufacturer's recommendations (look closely, they often have the proper dilutions in "fine print" on the container – they WANT you to use more than you need to). No chemical or solution should be left to dry on the pad surface. After the allotted time has passed to ensure disinfection, the pad surface should be wiped again with a wet cloth to remove the remaining chemical or solution.
DISINFECTING
Use Lysol Brand III I.C. Disinfectant Aerosol Spray by Reckitt Benckiser Inc.,
Montvale, NJ -- per manufacturer's instructions.

What is the difference between sewn and welded seams?
We offer two different seam styles for our pads – sewn and welded. Our sewn seams use a needle and thread to connect our covers, similar to what you would see on a piece of clothing. Our welded seams are done by using ultrasonic welding technology to fuse the cover material together, creating a strong, fluid-proof connection between the cover materials.
How long is the warranty on Berman Bedding surgical pads?
Sewn seam pads are warranted for 2 (two) years against material defects and workmanship.
Welded seam pads are warranted for 1 (one) year against material defects and workmanship.
Warranty does not cover normal "wear-and-tear". Problems occurring from misuse also are not warranted or guaranteed. These problems include, but are not limited to:
The following actions automatically and immediately void the pad's warranty: Removal of the law label(s); applying adhesive tape to the surface of the pad; exposure to an unauthorized cleaning/disinfecting solution (especially solutions intended for hard non-porous surfaces).
